I love writing with intention.

The intention to leave your readers with something to remember. Maybe it’s something funny or insightful or thought-provoking. Sometimes it’s just a tiny tidbit that people would’ve never known.

If you like writing with intention too, MIDFORM is for you.

Why MIDFORM?

Shortform is all the rage on Medium right now. Except… one of the biggest publications The Shortform just closed its doors to new writers.

I really love writing Shortform. Yet sometimes that 150-word rule narrows it down more than I would like.

On the other hand, Longform (4 minutes or more) can start to dilute the message I’m getting across. Big pubs like The Startup and MindCafe require articles longer than 4 minutes… yet sometimes I feel like I’m puffing up my piece just for the sake of it.

What about MIDFORM? It’s a new Medium category for articles at 3 minutes or less. Always with a key message at the end.

Take the time to get your message out, but keep it short and sweet to leave your readers with a proper takeaway.

I’m probably a glutton for punishment for creating my second publication (I’m sure Robert Ralph knows what I mean), but I felt like this was a needed category.

And I knowwww Robert just talked about Medium publications potentially closing, but for the meantime, there’s still a need and I’m going full-tilt until the ball stops rolling!
