#POETRY PROMPT
The Wonderful Beauty of Poetic Nuances
What is your poetry about?

I write the dance of poetry. As my words waltz through scenic landscapes of nature and romance, their imagery becomes the flute — her ethereal music mixes with metaphors of serenity and calm.
I sing the song of poetry. As my lyrics reach crescendos of ecstasy, then plummet into inconsolable misery, emotions are tangled and tied, leaving me a weeping mess, or a vision of gratitude — her orchestrated syllables speak in a melodic tongue.
I embrace the wonder of poetry. I am ever-learning her structure and style to consider sometimes there is none, and all the poet needs to create dazzling free-form is unbridled passion, a willingness to break the rules, and a stroke of genius.
This poetry prompt was Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她)’s invitation to explain to readers what my poetry is about. Thanks to Barb Dalton, I received the gentle nudge I needed to get on it.
