Summary

The website content discusses the concept of intuition, exploring its nature, the challenges of defining it, and the importance of trusting it for personal guidance and decision-making.

Abstract

The article "PROMPTED POETRY | TANKA" delves into the enigmatic nature of intuition, described as a voice beyond rational understanding, guiding individuals through feelings and signs. The author reflects on the difficulty of articulating intuition, positioning it as an experience that lies between feeling and knowing. Through personal anecdotes, the writer illustrates the process of accessing intuition during meditation, the patience required for answers to manifest, and the moment of realization when intuition aligns with external events, questioning whether it is intuition or synchronicity at play. The piece suggests that intuition serves as both a protective instinct and a confirming force that harmonizes gut, mind, and heart. It also ponders the idea that the universe provides guidance regardless of our choices, with the author citing Rasheed Hooda's journey as an example of trust and openness to guidance. The article concludes by acknowledging that each individual must define and discover the meaning of intuition for themselves, with gratitude expressed to Diana C. for inspiring the discussion through her prompt on intuition.

Interpreting Intuition

Voice beyond my voice Energy the skin reveals Feeling in my gut Hear sense see know trust then act Upon the signs of guidance

I am still learning to hear and then follow my intuition.

I guess it is to do with still being confused about the meaning.

“..it’s more than a feeling, but less than a knowing. It situates somewhere between the two and that is why it is so difficult to put it into words.”. 𝘋𝘪𝘢𝘯𝘢 𝘊.

Mmmm yep! I agree with Diana; it is challenging to put into words.

Explaining the unexplainable.

During meditation, it seems to me that I “activate” the guidance. Ask the question I need to ask. Am I asking from a knowing place or a guided place?

Either way, the process seems like it flicks the “on” for an alerted search.

The answer presents itself, be it in minutes, hours, days, weeks, months or even years. I have learnt to be patient. Or more patient at least!

The alarm goes off, and the a-ha moment connects.

Is it intuition at that point I “know” that the answer I sought has been found?

Or is it merely synchronicity being presented?

Conditions met for me to join the dots and collect the golden nugget of insight from a written, spoken or sung word, observing a scene with open eyes and ears or allowing myself to flow with whatever the day presents.

Or is intuition more a gut feeling to protect us, sensing when something feels “off”.

The flipside — when the heart sings and my mind pings sensing something belongs. Confirming I am on the right path. Gut, mind and heart all in balance.

Perhaps it is both — the seeking for a connection to meaning and a feeling in a moment.

Or maybe it is more about trusting we will be guided no matter what choice we make. The universe has our back in way we may never know or understand.

Rasheed Hooda’s rejourney an example that comes to mind. His trust along his walk. Proof that being open to the presented guidance unfolds the magic.

As always, a meaning for us each to define and find for ourselves.
