They also claimed they saw a ghostly figure with glowing eyes resembling the murdered DeFeo family. Treviño was arrested in 1960 for the murder of several women, and it was later discovered that he had been dismembering their bodies and using their body parts for his medical research.

Real-life serial killers, including Ted Bundy and Ed Gein also inspired the character of Buffalo Bill. Bundy was a evil and ruthless serial killer who killed nearly 30 young women in the 1970s, while Gein was a serial killer and grave robber who inspired the character of Norman Bates in the movie Psycho….
