The problems of the teenagers I will be researching today will be:

• Materialism

• Bullying/ Cyber Bullying

• Depressions and anxieties

• Online gaming experience

In my opinion, these are the themes that most affect young adolescents and adolescents.

We are increasingly witnessing these kinds of problems and we have to know how to analyze their origins, what causes them, and the consequences they can have on young people’s lives.

Materialism:

materialism has been associated with a variety of mental health problems such as anxiety and depression, as well as selfish attitudes and behaviors and relationship problems.

These can be the causes of young people increasingly being materialistic. With this, there are the consequences, such as a lack of pleasure in life.

Young people are so used to the feeling of temporary pleasure that shopping brings them who increasing want more and to feel more satisfied and happy.

A consequence of materialism can also be the lack of monetary power, especially for young people who do not yet have jobs. More and more want to acquire things, but the lack of money hinders them or even acquiring, spend a lot of money on what they want

Bullying/Cyberbullying

It can cause physical and emotional symptoms that can lead to the development of mental disorders such as generalized anxiety or depression that can lead the person to try against his or her own life.

Usually, schools can be perceived as Physical, psychological, verbal, and social bullying. Although it is relatively common in schools, Bullying can happen at any age and in any environment, as any comment made about another person that may interfere with your life can be considered bullying.

The consequences that bullying can bring are tremendous. Mental illnesses such as depression, anxiety, and in more serious cases even suicide.

Eating disorders may be linked to the psychological part related to the image or even to simple anxieties lose the desire to eat.

Irritability and aggression, these teenagers feel disgusted with the world around them and with themselves.

Depressions and anxieties

In adolescents, depression may be related to antisocial behavior and the presence of lies, petty theft, violence, rumination, self-mutilation behaviors, and drug addiction, for example.

It has features such as:

• Sleep disorders,

• Fatigue,

• Loss of appetite or weight gain,

• Chronic pain

With this condition may also feel excessive irritability, frustration, or anger. Symptoms can overlap in more than one disorder, with rapid and unexpected changes in mood and emotional outbursts.

The consequences can go all the way to suicide and social isolation.

Online Gaming Addiction

The collective imagination suggests that video games negatively affect adolescents. However, it is essential to identify how many of these perceptions are myths or have a real negative influence. In this sense, and as with all other technologies.

The isolation of adolescents can also be caused by the excessive use of video games.

By getting involved in-depth with the virtual world, the individual may suffer difficulty in establishing contact with other people, both in childhood and adolescence and in adulthood.

These are symptoms that can be seen when someone is addicted to video games:

• Excessive concern about games

• Withdrawal symptoms when they are removed

• Want to spend more and more time playing

• Failed attempts to control the time that is spent in games

With this also brings consequences.

Social → Distancing from its social network, and consequent difficulty in establishing relationships.

This will in turn lead to a reduction in psychological well-being and loneliness.

School → Decrease in school performance.

Financial → Financial expenses on new video games and computer devices to improve your performance in the game.

Familiar → The addition of video games often lead to increased conflicts within the family and damage to relationships between family members.

Psychological/ Health → Mood swings; low self-esteem, decreased physical activity, more likely to develop a mental illness.

And in extreme cases, it can even lead to suicidal ideation.

The world these days really is a scary place that makes us worried about ourselves and those we love the most. At these ages, it is necessary to always be attentive to behaviors that may indicate to us that something is not right for it to interfere earlier.
