I always liked martial arts, not to attack but to control my mind and it all started when I was just a kid in kindergarten.

In kindergarten, I had a teacher who every day at the beginning of classes and before we left to go home we would do Tai chi! It’s a Chinese martial art this martial art style is also recognized as a form of meditation and movement.

Meditation and movement in one martial art

I was really good at this martial art, it wasn’t good for attacking even though it was also violent, but it was good for meditating, for being in contact with nature and with ourselves.

I say connected with nature because, at the time, my teacher often said that if we did those movements in nature, its relaxing power increased by another 50%.

Growing up, I never forgot those moves that were performed every day before school started and every day before we went home.

These days when I’m at home, I move around the tiny table in the center of the room and do my movements in front of the TV with relaxing music and close my eyes and try to meditate as deeply as I can.

One day when I have children, I hope to teach them these movements of martial art so ancient that it should never be forgotten and in a way, I would like them to learn this way of relaxation and dedication that helped me so much when I was a child.

Have you ever practiced any martial art? Tell me everything in the comments! 💕
