The Sources of Our Life
Finding yourself…the how, the when, and the what will define you
There is a poem in which I reference the qualities of a succulent, yes, a plant. I have now fallen in love with those little cacti because they are so beautiful and well have helped me throughout these few months.
As you may already have heard, many people started new hobbies and for me, gardening was a blessing. I could finally have moments in which I could focus on maybe banal things, but it’s been marvelous.
Watering the grass, mowing it, taking care of the flowers, trimming the trees, and of course, taking care of the succulents. With these common activities, I can de-stress and, to my belief, be in the moment. This really helped me to be more mindful in my everyday life, I have more energy, I can concentrate better, and lots of other aspects also improved.
And what’s best, is that I have aloe vera, and it had many babies! So now I have many aloe for health benefits. Similar to the aloe vera, all succulents are easy to reproduce. So from when I started, I have almost quadrupled the amount.
Taking care of these plants is helpful to me. Everyone is different. What is your go-to hobby?
