The Sound of Silence
A Tribute to Meditative Bliss

Voice in my head As I lay in bed Is it mine Or a sign
Voice heard again Am I going insane
Voice of mentor Return to centre Guides me within Theta levels begin
Voice silent Visions brighten Dreams are alive Answers arrive
Soundless bliss Boundless abyss
Voice of reality Calls for me Time to ground Back to sound
I discovered meditation 18 months ago. I had heard about it, but always thought I had to be some kind of mystic to practice it.
Yep… I had misguided ideas until very recently.
Since then, I have been exploring different guided meditations and adapting them to my own practice.
Some have included energy work, others focus on visualisations. Hypnosis has been part of it too. All have helped me in some way.
I am currently learning about the Silva Method. This is the closest I have gotten to being conscious at theta levels.
Until now, I have mainly been mediating at alpha levels. I am still practising with theta. Often I find that I have drifted into unconsciousness for short moments.
I hope to refine my practise to a more consistent approach, but know it will be fluid for a while yet. Forever the student.
Thanks Diana C. for this week’s prompt on Know Thyself, Heal Thyself
