The Soothing Silence Is An Escape

Letting Go

I slide beneath the surface

lie suspended

in the equilibrium

of space

that swallows sound.

As the soothing liquid

holds me close,

every word I know

slips away.

The difficult thing is that vulnerability is the first thing I look for in you and the last thing I’m willing to show you. In you, it’s courage and daring. In me, it’s weakness. Brene Brown.
