I Speak My Truth In Simple Thoughts

apple-by Engin Akyurt from Pixabay

I must release The thoughts that swarm In tiny threads Inside my mind

A swirling cloud Of calling crows They spiral down Into the depths

Of foggy muck I cannot breathe I suffocate And cannot call

My voice is locked Within a vice A cage of wire Entwines my throat

To stop the words From getting out I must remake This life I live

I follow threads From woven nests I hear beliefs Persuade and tell

They call like crows And draw me in Their rigid thoughts I take as mine

My echoed calls Reflect them back I am not them I write my truth

The threads unwind The spirals twist To clear my mind Where secret fears

Are held inside A wire cage I raise my arms Unbind my wrists

And take the pen To find release

I bleed them out Unleash my thoughts I speak my truth In single drops
