The Sitting Place

Where land met the sea…

Helena stepped gingerly over the rocks leading down to the shoreline. She bent down and stroked the Bull Kelp as she walked. Her favorite sitting place was just minutes down the coast.

She hoisted herself up onto the great rock and got comfortable. It wouldn’t be long now. She played with her seashell collection as she waited. Each one was unique, and she kept them there as an offering to her people.

The stoic rock was where the magic happened. It was where the people from the sea met land. And it was where they whispered their plans to her.
