The Sexiest Way of Dressing Oneself for A Dress Down Theme Party

What do you do when you’re Invited to a dress-down party?

Just this morning I got invited to a Party! I was jumping with excitement and joy, all eager to finally attend a party after ages, as were all on hold due to this ongoing pandemic.

The invitation was beautiful and all that it had written on top was :

“Dear Geetika,

I would love to have you join me for this beautiful theme party. All details are penned inside.

Can’t wait to hear from you soon.

Your friend,

Galit.”

Before I read inside, I found myself smiling ear to ear… “It’s after so long that it’s dress-up time and that too theme-based.”

And in these thoughts hours passed.

When the excitement settled down and calm struck, I sat figuring out the nitty-gritty to myself… “How do I attend it — if not in person, then on a video call, Zoom, House-Party, Snapchat or WhatsApp?”

But guess what; I still hadn’t read the inside of the invite and only when I did, did I realize that it’s a different kind of party!

A Dress-Down Party.

I had my thought lamps flickering now, as it was weird indeed until I saw that it’s not in person, but rather a prompt party.

Once again I jumped up with a 1000 watt electric smile, as I had always preferred prompt parties to prom ones. All because- gone are the days of proms, and for me, this was just perfect as always.

Today, the party which I am invited to is a Self Care Prompt Party being held at Being Known, the home of Galit.

And the idea of the main theme is to Dress Down. Not to dress down your clothes but to undress your mind, emotions, the sorrow from your heart, to be able to cultivate the habit of self-care and prioritize self-love. This is my sexiest style of dressing up!

So now, the sucker that I am for writing, as soon as an idea strikes me without thinking I just start penning my thoughts, not caring about the sense they make or the flow they have.

Just the thought of talking about Self Care gives me a high ever since I’ve started believing it to be the most important primary food.

Self-care is food for the soul, the mind, and the body.

And, so today for the theme of Self Care — I choose to dress in Self Love. Not just for today’s party but forever and I shall teach you how to dress yourself up in it too.

Always remember that It’s only Self-Love that motivates you into making healthy choices in your life.

It teaches you to hold yourself higher in your own eyes before the world so that you see, start choosing things, methods that nurture you and your well-being.

Self Love teaches you to learn to eat healthy, exercise, rediscover and reinvent yourself. It even teaches you to have healthier relationships and develop confidence in yourself day by day.

Self Love teaches you to be happy by falling in love.

Falling in love with yourself first is the secret to happiness. You need to learn to celebrate yourself rather than wait for others to do that. Compliment yourself without waiting for others to do so, because remember that it’s not up to other people to keep you encouraged,

It’s totally and only up to you!

Never forget that Self- Care in total, be it, love, happiness, encouragement, or anything at all should come from the inside. It resides in you, your very own inside, so don’t wait to seek it from the outside world.

Simply look within and learn to love yourself first so that others can love you too, because falling in love with yourself is the first step to self-care.

So start now! You might find it tough to do but believe me, loving yourself can be the best and bravest thing to do! Simply write your own love story and own it, before time flies away!
