The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success: How to Achieve Your Goals and Live a Fulfilling Life
In his book The Seven Spiritual Laws of Success, Deepak Chopra outlines seven principles to help you achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life.
These principles are based on the idea that success is not just about achieving financial or material wealth but about living in harmony with yourself and the world around you.
If you want to learn how to create a successful and meaningful life, these seven spiritual laws are a great place to start!
The first law is the law of pure potentiality.
This law states that you are unlimited and can achieve anything you set your mind to. Your true self is pure consciousness, and pure consciousness is infinite, boundless, and the field of all possibilities.
Because of this law, I named my business Pure Potential Coaching. If it weren’t for limiting beliefs and other negative thinking, you would have access to this pure potentiality. I help people achieve their full potential.
You need to quiet your mind before you can experience the stillness of the field of pure potential. You can do this by practicing silence, meditation, and non-judgment.
The second law is the law of giving and receiving.
This law teaches that to receive, you must first give. When you give of yourself, you open up the possibility of receiving from others.
This law also says that you shouldn’t hoard money, as it’s a barrier to the natural flow of giving and receiving. “Currency” in Latin means “to circulate or flow.” The idea is that you will never get rich if you keep money, but if you invest wisely and give generously, you have the potential to become rich.
This second law applies to money as well as to other things like friendship, support, love, and anything exchanged socially. Many people want to be loved, but they forget that the quickest way to be loved is to give love. I recently wrote a post on this very topic.
The third law is the law of karma, or cause and effect.
This law states that every action has a reaction. What you put out into the world will come back to you. The idea is to consciously make decisions and choices to be sure that they bring happiness and success to others. In doing so, you will be sowing seeds that bring joy and success back to you.
Unfortunately, so much of what you do happens unconsciously. You make decisions based on behavioral habits, conditioning, cultural norms, etc., and don’t often give conscious thought to them.
So the idea is to try to become fully aware of your choices in every moment to make sure that they are the best for those around you and yourself.
The fourth law is the law of least effort.
This law teaches that nature works in harmony and that you should strive to do the same.
In nature, you don’t see the trees using a lot of effort to come into bud and then blossom. You don’t see the seasons exerting a lot of effort to change. Birds fly, grass grows, and acorns become mighty oaks without breaking into a sweat. Within nature, everything just happens with a sense of grace and ease.
When you are aligned with your true self, doing things out of love or following your passion, you’re in a flow state. You’ve probably noticed that time stands still when this happens, and you accomplish things with ease.
If you accept the world without fighting against it and take actions born out of love, you will be living according to the law of least effort.
The fifth law is the law of intention and desire.
This law states that your thoughts and feelings create your reality. What you focus on will expand your life.
The first law was about the field of pure potentiality that we live in. Everything is possible, but you first need the intention and the desire to create it. The combination of the two creates the power to make things happen.
You need to be clear about what you want and then take actions that align with your desires. The more focused you are, the easier it will be to manifest your desires into reality.
The sixth law is the law of detachment.
This law teaches that detachment from the outcome of your actions allows you to live in the present moment. You should enjoy the journey to achieving your goals rather than be fixated on the outcome or the goal itself.
You don’t give up your intention or desire for something to happen, but you give up your attachment to how you’ll get there. It’s great to have plans, but have you noticed that sometimes your most outstanding achievements don’t come from the best-laid plans, but from good luck and fate?
When detached from the outcome, you’re free to be open to possibilities and opportunities that you may not have otherwise seen.
The seventh law is the law of dharma.
This law states that your purpose in life is to find your unique gifts and share them with the world. When you live in alignment with your dharma, you will find authentic success and fulfillment. The law says that we are all spiritual beings having a human experience to fulfill a purpose in life.
I help people to find their purpose. Sometimes they think it has to be something grandiose, but your purpose in life could be to bring children into the world, or share your humor and make people laugh. Your life’s purpose doesn’t have to be to save the planet, prevent climate change, end world hunger or stamp out poverty.
If you ask, “How can I help?” rather than “What’s in it for me?” you will be offering your unique set of talents to the world.
The seven spiritual laws of success are a guide to help you live a fulfilling life. These principles teach that you should be aware of your choices, strive for harmony, and live in the present moment. When you follow these laws, you will find that taking actions out of love and living in alignment with your passions is easier than fighting against the world. Your thoughts and feelings create your reality, so focus on what you want to achieve. Be detached from the outcome of your actions and enjoy the journey. Find your unique gifts and share them with the world. By following these laws, you can live a successful and fulfilling life.
