The Road Travelled
Poetry prompt response
I try to avoid a life of regret, when I can, I exhaust all my options and choose a path to the best of my abilities.
If with time, I realize that I made the wrong decision; I can’t regret, for at the time I was incapable of making the right one.
When faced with a choice between differing options and I can’t run tests or many models, then I must pick one and live with the outcome.
Right or wrong, what’s done is done; I can’t go back and change my past, so I never dwell on the road not travelled.
It could be bounty or it could be sorrow, I only know what I know, the past is gone and the future is a mystery, the present I can control.
Thank you for reading and thanks to Lucy Dan 蛋小姐 (she/her/她), her prompt is the road not followed.
