For those of you who don’t know, the Adirondack Park is a 6 million acre treasure in upstate NY that will leave you awestruck. It has endless hiking trails, lakes, and mountains to explore. Auger Falls is one such spot.

Hiking is a great activity that can be done alone or with others. It is great exercise and soothes the mind as well. It is so peaceful in the woods, especially near running water. It can satisfy your longing for adventure and help you to forget your worries.

The hike is fairly level as it follows the Sacandaga River as it flows towards Wells, NY. We did meet a few other hiking parties but for the most part, it was peaceful and quiet, the weather party sunny in the low 70s. The river provides many beautiful views along the trail.
