The Queen of Flowers-Roses
Undisputed status for the lovers of art

We crave unique things; we accumulate them, run after them, and then move on to the next one. We seldom pause to think about what makes anything beautiful. What are the qualities, features, or characteristics? What do they have to attract followers, admirers, and fans?

We’re anxious to emulate the formula of success from everyone and anyone. We’re ready to believe the most bizarre phenomenon and adopt it. We’re eager to develop strategies to become the best version of ourselves but often lack direction, guidance, and courage.
When I saw this week’s prompt from our esteemed editor-friend Dr. Preeti Singh, I thought, why not turn this post into an ode to the queen of flowers and at the same time use them as an example to give my two cents on inspiration, motivation, and contentment.

Flowers, in general, and roses, in particular, hold a special place in human life. We cannot do anything without including them. The fossilized remains give clues about their importance since the homo sapiens started living in groups. They have been designed, grafted, grown, and decorated throughout the vast expanse of civilizations and used for every occasion.
For me, flowers are a great source of inspiration, especially roses. They look radiant, refreshing, and roaring with positivity demanding our undivided attention and awe. So glad that the bard also agrees.
“Of all flowers, methinks a rose is best.” — William Shakespeare, The Two Noble Kinsmen.
What is their secret? Do you ever wonder? What makes them so astonishingly beautiful? Can we take them as our self-help gurus? What can they teach us with absolutely no strings attached? Will we gather around them like a swarm of the modern-day influencer?

Rose bloom as the best versions of themselves as the universe intended. They don’t care if they’re a single bud or part of a bouquet.
Roses fulfill their commitment to stand out in their finest color and texture when they’re plucked away from the roots, put away in vases, and left unattended in the cemeteries. The atmosphere becomes soothing, fragrant, and blissful wherever they happen to be.
“Love planted a rose, and the world turned sweet.” — Katharine Lee Bates
Dear readers, whenever you need a boost to write the best article, are stuck on an original idea, or struggle to contribute an authentic perspective, look no further than a rose. You’ll find all the right words to make your mark, irrespective of circumstances.

The Sufi master had given us a clue about their greatness:
“Do thou smile like the rose at a loss and gain; for the rose, though its petals be torn asunder, still smiles on, and it is never cast down.” — Rumi, The Masnavi
