The Point of a Twin Flame Journey Isn’t Romance
It might be a side effect, though
I am going to start off by saying that every day, I still wonder if twin flames are even real. At this point, I have written several articles on this topic and I’m one-third of the way through writing a book about twin flames, and yet, I am still confused about what hit me in my own twin flame journey. Are twin flames a spiritual partner? Are they meant to teach you true love? Are they supposed to be romantic? Must they follow a tragic storyline like The Great Gatsby or Romeo and Juliet?
The concept of a twin flame seems exciting to everyone. Why? Well, because it inspires us all to imagine that there’s someone out there who really gets you. Someone who shares a very deep connection with you that makes you feel like there’s order in the universe. Obviously, you’d want to be romantically involved with such a person. Nothing sounds more exhilarating.
However, I’m convinced that the point of this twin flame journey isn’t romance. It’s the elevation of souls.
Your twin flame may spark a great love affair in your life, but that’s not the ultimate goal. Let’s talk about why twin flames really enter your life.
Twin Flames Blow Each Others’ Minds
If you are lucky enough to meet your twin flame in this lifetime, they arrive in a whirlwind of spiritual awakenings. You will know it when it happens to you. The strangest things may begin to occur, like the remembrance of dreams you had about them before you knew they existed, or the occurrence of unlikely coincidences.
It’s not just romance that you’ll be focused on.
A series of events will unfold which will make it seem like there’s really a higher order to the symphony of life. You’ll be forced to understand the great meaning in all things. The miracle of meeting such a person who restores hope in your heart that love can be real will be surrounded by the realization that all of life can also be full of purpose.
Destiny becomes very real to you when you’ve met your twin flame.
Twin Flames Teach You How Much Love Is in Your Heart
Your twin may make you feel extremely romantic and loved, but more than this, they will light the flame in your heart that awakens the ability to love unconditionally. The pure love that always resided in you will have its chance to express itself. You’ll surprise yourself at its depths.
This is the true miracle.
When you know how much love you’re able to experience — in both giving and receiving — you are finally harmonized with the rest of love in existence. The hope for a better world is kindled. Your twin flame lets you see that you are able to love.
Through Romance, Awakenings Occur
Perhaps it is romantic to experience twin flame love. However, the awakenings that result in this romance are the main event. I’m convinced that twin flames are the universe’s vehicle to raising the collective consciousness to new levels.
The ability to love someone who mirrors and expresses your deepest insecurities is truly magnificent because it gives you a chance to love yourself.
Loving yourself is incredible as it unlocks the ability to truly love others.
Twin flame romances feel like they’re out of a fairy tale. They’re living, breathing romance novels. They’re inspirations for stories like those of Shakespeare. Such an epic romance can only lead you to understand that miracles are possible.
Through Separation, We Must Face the Pain
Twin flames famously endure a period of separation which can last between weeks and years. It’s unbearable, especially for the twin that is aware of the miracles occurring and wants to be with their other half.
Facing such excruciating pain is good for us.
Only in our moments of total confusion and suffering do we have a chance to transcend the pain completely. The ability to find a way through this world even when things don’t seem to make any sense is within us all. As we evolve as souls, we seek out reasons to keep believing in miracles even during the darkest night. To find the light within ourselves, we must experience shadows.
Our twin flames give us the greatest gift of all: total insanity that can pave the way toward total understanding.
