Let “The Poetry Club” be your friend as we delve into the verses and lines of your poetry whispers shared in your original poem. I believe that poetry is more than just written words on a page.

It can transport us to new worlds and stir our emotions.

We are a caring community

The aim is to create a caring community that values each other’s skills knowledge, and life experience through the medium of poetry.

As a community, we take time to read and support each other’s work. We will discover new voices, and explore different poetic styles and themes.

We aim to develop, grow, and support each other as a community, and individually, as writers.

The Poetry Club Submission Guidelines:

As I am currently the only editor please give me up to 48 hours to publish your poem. I will endeavor to publish it as soon as possible.

  1. Your story should be between 1 and 3 minutes long.
  2. Submit a draft to the publication with a title, a subtitle, and an image. All images must credit the name of the image contributor and its source. For example — Photo by Jason Edmunds on Unsplash.
  3. In your poem, you can express your ideas, feelings, and imagery without the use of standard grammar conventions.
  4. Please tag poetry submissions with the “poetry” tag. If your poem is in response to a poetry prompt by The Poetry Club please tag it with the “poetry prompt” tag. It helps with website navigation.
  5. We do not accept already published poems.
  6. Update: 30th March 2024: Occasionally, we will accept a poetry analysis or a translation of an established poet’s work. Please note that this pub’s main aim is to publish your original and creative poetry.
  7. No racism or hate stories will be published.
  8. Adhere to Medium Rules and Terms of Service.
