“A Taste for Life” Introduction and Guidelines.
How to submit stories to this publication — updated 1st March 2023.

“A Taste for life’s” goal is to publish stories (1–4 minutes) from a variety of writers from all walks of life, about life experiences. Submitted stories are usually in response to “A Taste for Life” prompts. However, you can submit any story related to life at any time.
If you are interested to become a writer for this publication comment on this post. Include your username so you can be added as a writer. New writers to Medium are welcome to participate. When submitting stories to “A Taste for Life” publication, please follow the guidelines below.
We are a caring community:
The aim is to create a caring community at “A Taste for Life.” Take time to read, and support each other’s work. You are encouraged to clap and comment on participants’ stories.
The mindset of “A Taste for Life” publication is “Ubuntu” (humanity.) Together we will develop, grow, and support each other as a community, and individually, as writers.
A Taste for Life Submission Guidelines:
- Be inspired by, and related to a prompt.
- Be between 1 and 5 minutes long.
- You can submit to any publication of your choice.
- Submit your story as a draft to A Taste for Life.
- Please tag Weekly Prompts submissions with “Weekly” and Monthly Theme submissions with “Monthly theme.” You can use the tag “Writing challenge 2023,” for writing challenges. It helps with website navigation.
- You can submit as many stories as you prefer.
- You are welcome to use previous weeks’ prompts at any time.
- Poetry, fiction, and non-fiction stories/articles are accepted.
- No racism or hate stories will be published.
- Adhere to Medium Rules and Terms of Service.
