The Person Who Has No Favorite Color
I Like Them All
Yes, I like them all. Who doesn’t like a rainbow? Maybe someone. I don’t know. But it makes sense for me — I live in the Rainbow State — Hawaii!
In Hawaii, the rainbow has had cultural significance since ancient times. It represents the link between heaven and earth that allows the Gods to visit us and our dearly departed to travel to heaven. The messenger of the gods, Anuenue, is known as the Rainbow Goddess. There is also a traditional tale about the Rainbow Maiden, Kalahaopuna. You can read it here:

In these days, the rainbow has also become the symbol of diversity. There have been immigrants to Hawaii from many cultures since the days when Captain Cook first encountered the Hawaiians, so modern Hawaii has no majority culture. That’s right. We enjoy holidays, foods, and customs from all over the world blended with local Hawaiian customs. We call this “mixed plate.” My favorite rainbow!
Key Message: The diversity in Hawaii is my favorite “color” and I take joy in the spectrum of people I encounter every day.
