The Perfect 12 Inch
A Tasty Poem on the prompt: “slice”
Oodles of Parmesan oozing from the side The colors of Italy twirling with pride, Tomato, olives, basil enticing the palate The perfect 12 inch, slender and svelte!
Margarita, Sicilian, Neapolitan, Pepperoni So many flavors as you please; The salty, tangy marinara, worth every penny, So do not think of the mounting calories!
The good ol’ wood fired Pizza oven It’s huge hot belly ample for a coven! Waiting eagerly to serve a dozen So motherly, woody and brazen!
My tummy giving a sudden rumble My mouth starting to salivate As I type out the poem for Mr. Pizza; so humble! Should I ask him out on a lunch date?
Amy Marley with a delicious Haiku!
