The (other) Signs of Stroke
Do you know what to do when you see the signs?

When someone is downtrodden Beat up and bruised They need a stroke; Of luck
Abandoned, sad, lost, alone, Unsure of what to do next They could use a stroke; Of compassion
Directionless and lost Unsure in the world, without a plan They need to be blessed with a stroke; Of insight
When someone can’t help themselves Evil words leave their lips; vile actions ensue They have just delivered a stroke; Of malice
When the lightbulb goes off in someone’s head The path is clear, inspiration victorious They have just had a stroke; Of genius
Perfection achieved Flawless precision, excellence achieved Borne of inspiration, creating a stroke Of brilliance
Worst day ever Can we just get on with tomorrow? Time ticks slowly toward the stroke; Of midnight
Two people just met Feels like they know each other from a past life Could this be a stroke; Of serendipity
Sirens call, unknown beckons Restlessness in the soul, ready to go Perhaps you feel the stroke Of transience
Be aware of the signs of stroke Sometimes subtle, sometimes not so much Always creating opportunity For change
Looks like I was crazy enough to jump in. Thanks Sherry McGuinn!

Timothy Key spent over 26 years in the fire service as a firefighter/paramedic and various fire chief management roles. He firmly believes that bad managers destroy more than companies, and good managers create a passion that is contagious. Compassion, grace and gratitude drive the world; or at least they should.
