We always think that as we are young, things like serious illness are far away from us, but life is a big gamble and once lost, you die.

Currently, the young generations don’t take their health seriously. They stay up all night since it has become a norm associated with modern society. They don’t know that staying up all night not only makes people literally “stupid”, but also causes cancer-related illnesses. As a result, instead of enjoying life, they have to fight a dangerous illness. Therefore, take your health much more seriously to not regret later on.

1. Why do young people like to stay up late?

More and more young people put themselves in the groups of people who like to stay up late, even stay up all night.

There was an online survey asking “why do you like staying up late”?

Unexpectedly, only 10% of people stay up late because of work, most of them are playing games, chatting, watching movies, reading stories, or surfing TikTok, Instagram, Facebook.

Young people, after experiencing the pressure of work for the whole day, take the evening time very seriously as it’s very difficult to have their own space, so they start the journey called night owl. All pressure in the morning will be relieved at night.

Although there is nothing to do or even know that staying up late is bad for your health, you don’t want to sleep, you can’t sleep, you want to take some time for yourself. This has gradually become the portrait of many young people. Not staying up late has become something very difficult for them.

2. Staying up late can really make you die early

There is an untold naked phenomenon: cancer is getting younger.

Recently, I read a story about a 30-year-old man with stomach cancer. The doctor said, “His stomach was a mess, cancer cells had moved from the stomach to the liver.” It takes less than 3 months from diagnosis to death. In recent years, cancer has become rejuvenated and many young people suffer and die suddenly.

This 30-year-old young man often stayed up late working, not socially inactive, liked to drink, skipped meals. When someone advised him about his lifestyle, he said: “It’s okay, I’m young and healthy, I’m not afraid”. Ever since he was hospitalized, he constantly reminded people around him: “Don’t play with your health, you won’t win.”

A study in the journal “sleepfoundation.org” in the US has shown that lack of sleep causes the brain to produce the same chemicals as if the brain is attacked. It can also cause headaches, dizziness, and other mental issues. Our brain will make a lot of wastes after a day of activity and having a good sleep can help the brain eliminate these wastes.

As sleep deprivation is accumulated to a certain level, you will be likely to fall ill. What is even more terrible is that the injury caused by staying up late is irreversible, even if you have compensated sleep. If a person’s normal sleep cycle is continuously destroyed, it will cause permanent damage to various body functions.

Cancer requires only 4 steps: mild fatigue, deep fatigue, organ damage, cancer. Long-term resting disorders leading to abnormal body function is the primary cause of cancer. In other words, every time you stay up late, you burn your bodies out. Eventually, the cost will be your life.

Many of you want to live a healthy life, but your bodies are committing suicide. The pace of modern life extremely hustles, we don’t seem to have enough time. Competition at work, rent, living expenses, parental pensions, and children’s education are all issues to deal with. We can't stop, always think about how to become better, make more money.

Whenever I have free time, I feel guilty. But I forget that working is just a part of life. “The whole life chasing money and sacrificing health doing so” has become a full circle of karma that people today can hardly overcome.

The American Association of Sleep Medicine has published a survey showing that 90% of young people have a sudden death. Cerebral bleed and heart attacks are related to staying up late, and more than 70% of young adults have stayed up late during the year. Staying up late not only disrupts the body’s natural sleep-wake cycle, which can affect a person’s mental functioning and energy levels the next day.

3. Don’t play with your health, eventually, you’ll be a big loser

Kate M. who is a university lecturer had breast cancer at the age of 31. Before she got sick, she had been staying up late, working, and eating uncontrollably. 4. How to give up the habit of staying up late?

First: Develop your own hobbies

To give up bad habits like smoking, drinking, staying up late, you have to cultivate other positive habits. It not only shifts your attention but also makes you completely immersed in positive joy, helping the body and mind to relax effectively.

People interested in hobbies have more free time and more optimistic when they get stuck.

Second: Discipline yourself

1. Force yourself to go to sleep earlier than usual, set a certain time to go to bed. Even not feeling sleepy, just lie down, stay away from your computer or phone. Before you sleep, don’t think about such issues, let the brain relax as possible.

2. Increase the amount of time being active and studying. Exercise can reduce excess energy, reading can help yourself relax.

3. Keep on getting up early, most people who stay up late have a biological clock disorder, so try to maintain the habit of getting up early to get the clock back to normal.

5. If you are forced to stay up late because of work, then try your best to make up for yourself

Like nurses or doctors, staying up all night is part of their mission. If because of the specificity of your job, you’re forced to stay up late, then try to do these 10 things:

1. Don’t eat too late, eat less spicy, drink more juice, plant milk.

2. Take some vitamin supplements.

3. Your eyes will be tired when you stay up late, so exercise your eyes as you are free, close your eyes for a few minutes.

4. Avoid energy drinks. Drink diluted tea, hot milk, or juice.

5. If hungry, choose the foods that are rich in nutrients and easy to digest.

6. Pay attention to proper ventilation of the room, take several deep breaths.

7. It will be colder by night, stay warm, especially in the joints.

8. Have breakfast the next day. If you have time, take a warm bath.

9. Spend time for physical activities.

10. Try to stay in a good mood. Be calm and adjust your mood.

Finally, I still want to tell you, do not stay up too much, in this world, there are two things after losing you will realize their values, youth and health. As time goes by, the energy and wisdom are still there, but if you get sick, even if you are young, what does youth mean to you? What does it mean to be rich? You have time to do what?
