Hello everyone! 👋

So as I wrote before, recently I have crossed my 100 followers mark and now it is the moment of truth — I will try to apply for Medium Partner Program (MPP).

If I will be accepted to this program I will be able to earn from my stories.

So fingers crossed, I’m putting on some appropriate music and starting to document the process…

So last Friday (April 28th, 2023) I woke up knowing that it will be the day when I will submit my application to join MPP.

The first step was pretty simple — I went to https://medium.com/earn, clicked on Apply now, and filled in very simple, informative and basic form.

It took only ~4 minutes to complete it and here are some screenshots:

So I have completed the form on Friday morning, and then waited… Waited the whole Friday… Waited the whole weekend… Waited Monday and Tuesday… ⏳

And actually waiting is one of those few things that annoys me in Medium the most. I’m still waiting for few publications to accept me as a writer as well as few articles to be published on certain publications. 📰

But it is what it is. Medium is teaching me patience and over time I will get used to that. 🧘‍♂️🙃

So on Tuesday afternoon I got this e-mail:

So I was stuck in a middle! I am very happy that I was not rejected right-away! 😰

The problem was that I had some responses/comments under stories, which were tagged with follow-for-follow topics. Honestly, I did not participate in those schemes, I was only asking other Medium members is follow-for-follow a “legal” technique in Medium. And that was enough for Medium to raise a red flag on my application. 🚩

⚠️ So conclusion is pretty simple — don’t participate in follow-for-follow if you want to join MPP and start earning money.

So I deleted those responses from Medium, sent a reply to them and…

I was accepted to Medium Partner Program!!! 🥳 🎉

So from now on, ladies and gentlemen, I will be able to earn money from my Medium stories. 🤑

I don’t expect to earn a lot immediately, but earning at least ~$10 in a first month would be a great result for me! 📅

We will see what future will bring…
