Writers Challenge XL.
The Midweek Content Spotlight.
Issue №7 Rebecca Stevens Alder.
Welcome to another edition of my “Midweek Content Spotlight”.
The author I am going to share my selections with today is the fantastic Rebecca Stevens Alder.
She has a variety of content to choose from and is a Top Writer in Racism & Black Lives Matter.
I have to say I am a big fan of her powerful poetry creations.
I always seemed gripped and entwined in her brilliant creations
Here are my selections to share with you.
First up is this powerful and thought-provoking piece of poetry.
A brilliantly created poem. Well delivered. It is a topic close to my heart.
Next up in the link above. This Is a deep and meaningful article explaining how she is raising a mixed-race family.
Trying to explain some of the scenarios to her son is really endearing as she navigates all the various questions. An excellent post from start to finish.
Respect & Admiration for Rebecca Stevens Alder.
In the link above Rebecca Stevens Alder raises the valid points ;
“Wearing a mask can put a black person’s life in grave danger.
Let’s be honest, we live in a world where black people are discriminated against based on pernicious stereotypes. Most often, these erroneous generalizations categorize blacks as aggressive gangsters and criminals.”
“In Western culture, wearing a mask most often equates to wanting to hide ones face to commit an illicit act. Bank robbers are known for wearing masks, criminals and certain gang members are too.”
I wholeheartedly agree with her that there is work to be done.
This a powerful and insightful piece of content.
In the link above is beautiful and heartwarming poetry that makes you feel all fuzzy inside. Below is the last line which encapsulates the whole poem.
You and I,
One love,
One story.
Awesome!
I read this earlier today, I edited and published it. In the response section, I wrote “LOVE THIS. SPECIAL. WELL DONE.” I can’t quite put my finger on why but it had a strange yet amazing feeling when I read it.
It is the reason why Rebecca Stevens Alder is first on my “Midweek Content Spotlight” list this week.
In the link above is the Medium profile link to Rebecca Stevens Alder.
I highly recommend you go and read her excellent work.
You are the inspirational and thoughtful writer that reflects in all of the content creation that you do.
I am also an impatient optimist just like Rebecca Stevens Alder.
I have thoroughly enjoyed sharing my selections with you and I’m sure Rebecca Stevens Alder(fingers crossed.) will too. With happiness, joy and a large smile on her face. People will soon realise after reading these articles that success is hard-earned and definitely deserved. Brilliant work.!
This is my seventh content creation of reviewing writers of our Illumination publication. I am enclosing the links for my six creations thus far. I feel I want to keep with the title “The Midweek Content Spotlight” as I think it is quite unique and I haven’t spotted anything similar on Medium.
Here is one Rebecca Stevens Alder may like by someone called B. A. Cumberlidge.
Seems like a nice bloke! Face for radio, the body of a ruined Welsh castle.!
So I believe it is good for the exposure of Illumination and letting readers know the different approaches to writing our content, I also think it is good for the author I am reviewing because it is a unique little creation by myself with the inspiration coming from Dr Mehmet Yildiz.
Here is the link to his writing challenges & prompts list.
I hope you enjoy reading my “Midweek Content Spotlight” and I sincerely believe Rebecca Stevens Alder will enjoy her review too.
OneTeam. OneDream. Illumination.
