The Long and Short of It

Haikus for the new youse.

Medium new day. Now write this way, not that way. Huh? I am confused.

Not too many words? So as not to take much time? From your busy day?

Or write even more. So you read me longer, yo. WTF goes on?

I am flummoxed here. Do I write more or write less? Oh, son of a bitch!

Tell me what to do. Never mind dear writer friends. You have your own shit.

Hallowed Medium. What have you done to us? Is this a screwing?

Show me the love please. Put me in your best pub now. Or. Or. Or. Or. Or.

No more claps for us. Do comments count, I wonder? Damn. I’m in the weeds.

Medium help us. Did we piss you off somehow? Cause clapping is bomb.

Too, clapping is balm. To a writer’s soul you know. We are sensitive.

Write me a story. That has a happy ending. Up yours, I’ll write it!

Top writers say “yaaaaay!” This new thing is a good thing. Remains to be seen.
