The House Committee Must Do the Right Thing by the People and For the People

How the January 6 Insurrectionists stormed the Capitol as Trump watched in his private quarters with family and other officials

Today is the beginning of many more days in a month-long investigation seeking the truth behind the insurrectionists’ core, origin, and the real leader of these racist factions. America needs to know the truth and is entitled to find out the truth about those who initiated this horrific act. All need to be punished from the leader to the ill-informed followers. As adults, we are responsible for our actions and cannot blame others for wrongdoings. No one should escape punishment claiming they were following someone’s instructions. That is pathetic and does not hold water. When you do the crime, you need to do the time, one way or another. God knows all thegood and the bad in the universe. Vengeance is mine says God’s word. Evil will not go unpunished, may even be heaped upon the heads of the perpetrators’ generations to come.

So proud of Nancy Pelosi and her committee how they proceeded with this hearing in the face of much opposition from the Republicans and more directly by Rep. McCarthy who tried to prevent the committee hearing in every way even by trying to blame Nancy Pelosi for the so-called ineptness of the capitol police and their training preparedness for such an insurrection.

With all the videos shared during this hearing, you’d think why do we need a hearing. Everyone knows the truth as each saw it with their own eyes. Yes, there are some people who chose not to see the truth for what it is but choose to again follow blindly behind a lie, no matter what.

These videos spoke for themselves as they were graphic and showed who the insurrectionists were as one policeman during the committee hearing testified that he saw two women, two Asian males, and the rest were all white males with every type of arsenal imaginable.

Below, are some photos from January 6 insurrectionists’ day storming the Capitol and according to Trump, these were loving and hugging Americans. This must be a new definition of being American and loving, according to Trump! God bless and help America if this is true.

The above photo depicts how one officer was being smashed to death by the insurrectionists who had no conscience or respect for the law or humanity.

Trump and his followers called the insurrectionists, Americans, tourists, and lovable, and one officer during the committee hearing stated and I paraphrase, “if this is what defines Americans, then now I can understand why foreigners do not like Americans,” as he chuckled along with others in the room.

The U.S. Capitol Police and the Metropolitan Police Department officers’ testimonies are factual as they lived through the insurrection and heart-wrenching as they put their lives on the lines for all politicians but the majority of the GOP could care less about the truth of what happened. These very same politicians should be voted out of office because they do not have the interest of the public at heart or otherwise. It’s all about power and division. These officers conveyed their braveness and how they were vastly outnumbered, people wise, and by combat militarized gear. Many of these officers who survived remain in therapy.

This committee seeks the truth of January 6 in every way, to know the involvement of white supremacist groups, their connection to the origin of the insurrection, be it Trump or otherwise, what was known in advance about this insurrection, how the Capitol was on lockdown due to Covid-19 but gave tours the day before the insurrection, what the Trump administration knew in advance, what happened as the police pleaded for backup from the National Guard, and how thousands of Americans successfully overwhelmed police and took control of the country’s legislative seat of power for several hours.

One hundred and forty officers, (140), were injured, some permanently, former VP Mike Pence had to escape for his life, the damage to the Capitol exceeded $1 million, and five people died as a result in some way due to this insurrection.

Along with these officers’ firsthand testimonies, hundreds of criminal cases brought by the Justice Department with charges stemming from conspiracy and trespassing will be used as evidence to seek the truth of the insurrection.

The nine committee members are comprised of mostly democrats and two republicans who had the guts to seek the truth of what happened, Rep. Liz Cheney and Rep. Adam Kinzinger. Both have made it crystal clear that they seek the truth and are doing so in the best interest of the people and preserving Democracy.

Of course, as expected, McCarthy continues Trumpism by name-calling them, “Pelosi Republicans.” For their commitment to truth and Democracy, McCarthy entertained the thought of punishing them in some faction as he confirmed with his words by saying, “We’ll see.” Everything McCarthy says and does confirm he is not interested in knowing the truth, just obsessed with gaining more power and has bigger political aspirations and agenda.

In closing, the desire was to have a bipartisan investigation into the worst attack on the Capitol since the 1800s but you can not force anyone to want to do the right thing or to learn the truth especially if they are a part of the problem. What has been happening all along in the dark is coming to the light as many will pay.
