The Hour of the Wolf

Prompt #15 black morning

The night was long.

Filled with interrupted truths that woke me in the hour of the wolf where I paced the endless hallways of my dreams.

All hope is dashed against a wall of despair that rises in my throat. I swallow bile.

It slides into the fear that waits beneath and hides the secrets in my forgotten dreams.

Dawn is shrouded by mist.

Grey light finds me kneeling at the altar of denial, praying for relief.
