The Holidays Are a Food Bonanza For Carnivores and Those on a Tight Budget
Stock up now while prices are low

Ahh, the holidays. Holiday dinners with family and friends. Christmas parties, food galore, and gluttony in abundance. What could be better?
I’ll tell you what’s better. Getting all that food at budget prices and putting it in your freezer so you can eat for the next month.
It’s November and Thanksgiving is a week away. The grocery stores are putting out hams, turkeys, and even ducks. Just like they do every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter.
I recently made a trip to my local Aldi food store for eggs and ground beef. The store was so busy I thought people were stocking up for the apocalypse.
While fighting the throngs of apocalypse shoppers, I saw they had hams and turkeys in stock. Thinking about it for a second, I realized it was November already. The holiday season is upon us. Ham and turkey will be sold regularly from now until the New Year.
I skipped the turkey since I don’t have a taste for the fowl bird these days. I stopped at the trough the hams were. The sign said $1.79 per pound.
Oh, yeah. That’s right within my budget. This little piggy is gonna get himself a big old porking ham.
I’m a single guy who lives alone. A ten-pound ham will feed me for five to seven days. Think of the meals you can make with it.
- Ham steaks
- Ham and eggs
- Ham and Cheese Omelets
- Ham Salad
- Ham Sandwiches
Talk about Hog Heaven!
Perfect for those of us on a tight budget.
But wait! There’s more!
The day after the holiday, ham and turkey goes on sale. Most of the time for under $1.00 per pound. Low enough to buy one or two extra, package them up, and keep them in your freezer.
At those prices, I’m sure they will be gobbled up soon, going “Wee wee wee wee” all the way home.
