CRYPTO CULTURE
The Hidden Gem That’s the Best Kept Secret of Crypto Twitter
For news highlights, moonshot projects, and laid-back vibes, this Twitter Spaces is the best way to spend a Saturday night
By Hogefather, aka Jesse J Rogers. Sponsored by Cryptopulse9
At the time of this writing, most of the broader crypto community is mired in FUD (fear, uncertainty, doubt). In periods like this, tensions run high, tribalism is fierce, and angry “investors” that bought all of 10 minutes ago are wondering “wen lambo?”

I do, however, know of one oasis of chill where you can go to learn, network, and just hang out with developers, artists, and innovators in the industry.
Cryptopulse9's Twitter Spaces.
If you’re familiar with Hogefather Podcast, you’ll immediately recognize the voice of Cryptopulse9 as being that of Shane Cook, who co-hosted dozens of episodes of the with me. You’ll also be familiar with his right hand man, Alan Arthur (AlanNFT).
There’s frequently people from HOGE nation that need no introduction, such as Joshua Deese (Hoge Lobbyist), Joe Rocko (Jcrocko3), Crypto Camel, MoonView Trades, Reconlion1, and Hayden.
But it isn’t just HOGE. For example, it’s not unusual to see Sycore, the lead developer of RBX. RBX offers hassle-free DeFi: fiat onramps without KYC, cross-platform trading on 10+ chains, automated over-the-counter escrow, and much more.

And Sy by no means the only developer that hangs out there. No, I’m not counting myself, because honestly I’m still a long ways off. My self-teaching in Solidity Saturdays will eventually pay off, but not yet. I’m speaking of Zeuk (aka Geekz Anonymous) who is working on Upforce, a multiplayer game promoting the Upcoin tipping token.

There’s also Antifragileer, aka Jeremy Wilson — an experienced tech executive turned successful NFT collector/dealer. He’s in the process of launching RedMetalNFT, an NFT platform to provide support, training, and resources to new NFT projects.
One of the newest NFT teams to get involved in Community Driven Crypto is Bunny Banditz, a favorite of Alan’s. The fun, unique style of their art will be featured in some upcoming comics, and one of the cofounders just announced that he’s soon quitting his job to focus on the NFT project. Bullish! Or Bunnyish? Either way, seems like they’ll be good friends with RBX (formerly Rocket Bunny).
Our eclectic mix of crypto enthusiasts is also home to a unique NFT project backed by practicing mystics called Wielders Way. They bring a special kind of magic to the space, as they’re working to bridge real world occult metaphysics into a digital metaverse. I don’t own any of their NFTs yet, but my take is that blockchain offers both censorship resistance and privacy, making it especially attractive to persecuted minorities (such as witches). Add in the fact that the Wiccan demographic is rapidly growing among Gen Z, and this young project could end up becoming quite relevant in years to come.
Speaking of getting in early, I first learned of Waifer through Rick’s pitch in Community Driven Crypto. Even after its correction, Waifer is still up around 40x from where it was when I wrote about it. The project remains poised to become a serious social media contender with its Redwaif platform because it rewards users in Waifer.

Before we take turns shilling our projects though, the first hour is just really low key and sharing perspectives with each other about what’s going on in the news.
That brings us to the best thing about these spaces. It isn’t about the money that can be made from finding out about cool new projects before anyone else does (although the money is nice). The comradery and community is really at the core of what Community Driven Crypto is all about. This little club makes it fun regardless of what happens with the price. As Alan puts it, “these Spaces are the highlight of my week.”
Why not make them the highlight of yours too?
