The Hard Truth About Life
A journey that also ends
In the vast expanse of time and space, We find ourselves in this human race. From birth to death, the journey’s grand, Yet life is not always as we planned.
The hard truth of life, it must be told, As we grow and age, and we unfold. With each passing day, time slips away, And in this world, we must find our way.
Innocence fades as we start to learn, That life’s not always fair; it can burn. Challenges come, both big and small, Testing our strength, our will, our all.
We seek love’s warmth, to feel complete, But heartaches and heartbreaks we’ll meet. For in matters of love, we take a chance, And sometimes love doesn’t advance.
Friendships are made, and some will last, But others fade into the past. Betrayal stings, trust can break, Leaving scars, we learn to fake.
Dreams may soar, ambition’s fire, Yet obstacles rise and can be dire. Success is hard, the road is rough, But determination can be enough.
Loss and grief will mark our days, As loved ones leave in various ways. The pain cuts deep, the void is wide, Yet memories linger, love abides.
In the search for truth, we might find doubt, As beliefs clash and egos shout. The world’s complexities can confound, Leaving questions that astound.
Yet in the darkness, there’s a light, A glimmer of hope, burning bright. For life’s hard truth, though it may sting, Is balanced by the joy it brings.
In moments of laughter, love, and grace, We find a purpose, a special place. We learn to cherish what we hold dear, Hugging each day with less fear.
So, though life’s truth may seem unfair, It’s in these moments we learn to care. Through the struggles, the joy, the strife, We find the beauty in this dance called life.
