The good news today!

French language certification — Episode 19

Photo by Rafael Garcin on Unsplash

I took a break from writing on Medium for two months starting January this year and also wrote about it. Below is the link to the same.

There was a reason that I took the needed break. It was to learn French and guess what, today I got the splendid news that I cleared the test and got the certification at the intermediate level. Now, my target is to reach a higher level and appear for another certification in the coming months.

Let me tell you a few basic things about it.

French is a wonderful language and has a lot of similarities with the English language. For example, it has thousands of similar words. The only change, if at all, comes in pronunciation, spelling, and meaning. The difference is very negligible.

The French language also has the same alphabets as English. But there are few more characteristics, such as é è ê à ç and so on. The resulting difference is only in terms of pronunciation.

But grammar is a whole new ball game. So it totally different in both languages. Hence, this is the area where you will have to focus, work hard, and gain a lot of skills. The thing that you will have to learn and practice a lot is the world is conjugation. I think I better stop before I make it really complicated and boring.

I have also written a few more articles that are related to life in France. Here are the links for easy access.

I hope you enjoyed today’s episode. See you tomorrow!
