In our lives, we may have days where everything seems to feel right, and this can make us feel in control of the direction that our life is heading. But also, there may be other days, where we feel powerless due to the poisonous thoughts that won’t leave us alone.

So today I’d like to share with you, the game-changing method to remove toxicity out of your mind, and I hope it will be as helpful for you as it has been for me.

It is called the “5 whys” method.

5 whys Method

I was recently reading a book called “Love Yourself Like Your Life Depends on It” by Kamal Ravikant, and in the book, he talks about how, most of the time, we think we are thinking, but we are actually remembering what we thought before. So that’s why it is so easy for our minds to get in loops, and start to identify with these thoughts.

As a solution, the 5 whys method can help us to analyze these loops, and help us get out of them.

Before applying this method, as a preparation, we start by writing down the reoccurring thoughts that bother us, and by doing so, it is easier to see what we are dealing with, visually.

After completing this step, now we can apply the 5 whys method.

To do that, all that we need to do is to ask ourselves “why” 5 times for each loop of toxic thoughts we find ourselves lost in. This is very effective because it helps us see beyond the way that this issue appears to us, and find the root cause.
