When I first started my Friends of Medium (FOM) related club, publication, and newsletter, I had the highest of spirits and I was full of enthusiasm.

Sure, I knew how much negativity and controversy was already surrounding the topic, and how some members were scoffing at the idea of the FOM program being a good thing.

To some members, FOM does nothing more, than provide a way to divide the community and cause bitter resentments.

I disagreed then, and I continue to disagree, even though I’ve had some ups and downs since becoming a FOM.

If you want to read about my former related issues, or anything else I’ve written about FOM topics, feel free to check out my list:

Not only have I already written dozens of stories on the subject, but I plan to write a whole lot more, and so will the current club members, or at least the four remaining members who are still on the club roster.

RECENT UPDATE: 👇🏻

As of this writing, the MFR Club roster has been reduced to a total of 5 members (myself included), and honestly, that’s totally fine with me.

👉 Although I plan to try again (in May 2024), by extending invitations to come and join the club, by then, I’m hoping to have things organized a little better, and I also hope to get writers who are truly committed to helping the club and publication succeed.

My spirits are no longer as high as they were originally, but I still feel excited about what I have in store for the publication, during the month of March.

Final Thoughts

After my decision to cut the roster and only work with a few individuals who seem the most committed, I decided to try something else, with regard to opening things up to the community.

👉 I want to learn as much as I can about FOM strategies, and related activities. That includes reading all of the stories I can find, that cover the topic in some kind of way.

👉 I also want to hear what other writers have to say about the subject, whether they wrote already wrote about it or not.

👉 I even want to hear from those writers and new members who have just started looking into what FOM is, and they have questions that they need answering.

This month, I’ll be spending all of March, reading, examining, and explaining what I learn, and I suspect my co-club members will be doing a lot of the same.

So if you feel inclined to do so, be sure to read this story and see what you need to do, to get your question, or comment to me, so I can address it in a story.
