The Five Types of Writers to Watch

Which type of writer are you and how to change your patterns?

According to my observations, there are five types of writers. We could have a blend of all these writers within us.

  1. The Strategic Writer: This writer plans his articles, posts, and literary works. He needs to write so that he can profit from his writing. He or she does not waste time writing unless they can be sure that it will bring them good returns.
  2. The Random Writer: This individual writes whenever he or she feels like doing so, there is no routine. This writer enjoys putting their thoughts down in a literary work but does not find the time to do so on a regular basis.
  3. The Practical Writer: A practical writer works to a plan, writes regularly, and submits to publications like clockwork. This writer performs well and does get good feedback and is encouraged to keep writing in his or her chosen topic.
  4. The Heart Writer: The Heart writer is filled with passion for his or her subjects and keeps writing enthusiastically when the ideas appear. When the enthusiasm dies, the writer feels lost and experiences the feeling of having “writer’s block”, till he or she gets the next burst of inspiration.
  5. The Chameleon Writer: The Chameleon writer has a blend of writing strategically, random at certain times during a week or day, yet regular at times when needed and from the heart on a variety of subjects. The Chameleon writer is the most successful of the writers as he or she is able to adapt, transform, write, re-write their literary piece, in any climate, under any circumstances, and on any publishing platform successfully.

The above five types of writers were created by me, others may agree or disagree.

Personally, I am a Regular-Heart-Writer, as I like to write on a regular basis, from the heart, and on a variety of topics.

I aspire to someday become a Chameleon Writer with the ability to be able to strategically write, randomly create, practically chosen topics, presented with a passionate heart, while writing emotionally charged literary pieces to excite and enthrall my readers.
