The Fiction Writer’s Den
Publication update
Medium has a lot of fiction publications — perhaps too many! Do we benefit from lots of little projects spread out all over the place?
Myself and a few other writer/editors (feel free to comment to show that I’m not just imagining this…) felt that the answer is ‘no’.
We think it could be better to focus our efforts on a single home of fiction. Perhaps one day it will become the kind of large fiction publication that Robert Ralph speaks about here.
And so, the Creative Writing 101 publication is merging with Web Novel Reviews (and other publications may also end up mixed into the cocktail — tbc!) 🍹
The new-look publication will continue to have articles on writing craft, but we will now take in:
- short stories
- chapters of web-novels
- drabbles
- writing prompts
…and more!
Some of you may have already noticed the changed navigation tabs at the time of writing. And soon, there will be a new name, too:
