The Eyes Of The Soul: A Guide For The Twin Flame Journey [Part 3]
You can resist your own design for weeks, months, or years, but the feeling of incompletion won’t go anywhere.

Dear Soul, this article is part of a more extensive reading. You can find the rest here:
In The Beginning, There Are Two Of “You” And Two Of “Them”
When you are reunited with your twin soul on Earth, there are — only in appearance — two of You and two of Them:
- There is the human who operates at a tridimensional level and sees themselves as separated from everything outside their body.
- There is the real You: the Soul.
This mental state of separation permeates every aspect of human life. We can’t be in a permanent Union with everything while being separated from something.
The acknowledgment that we feel separated is already one of our biggest achievements as humans. It creates discomfort and makes all hidden pain and fear come to the surface, ejected from the depths of the subconscious mind.
Allowing things to be so they can become is the venture, and it is a challenging one for the Ego, which is attached to fear. In this period, the mind makes use of all kinds of resources to ignore the hidden truths that are now floating in the sea of consciousness.
There is fear and confusion. First, because the connection can’t be explained or accepted from a rational perspective. It goes beyond logic and intellect. But the connection is only a ripple of a growing tide, and this tide will erase who you are, so you can be who you are meant to be.
Here is why every twin soul connection triggers an activation or spiritual awakening. Not for a week, not for a season, not for a year. For the rest of your life — it is building you up for eternity.
The Soul sees the tides from above — they are temporary, and necessary — while the mind tries to protect itself with all kinds of defense mechanisms: denial, destructive behaviors, projection, self-victimization, rationalization…
From a human perspective, there are only two ways to survive: being rescued by your twin (who represents your potential Self after Union) or fighting against the tides, making your twin responsible for them (projection). This is the first layer of the twin flame journey.
It takes pain and exhaustion to reach a state of complete surrender where your twin is not the North, so your Soul can take control over your mind and make the changes you need to move forward in the journey.

As I mentioned before, these changes can be physical, mental, or emotional, but in essence, they are all energetic.
Everything is an expression of energy, so by adjusting your thoughts, emotions, and external ways of living, you are supporting energetic shifts that will continue to create more external changes.
It is about giving and receiving. The Universe is a cooperative system. This is why you are not supposed to sit and wait for a twin soul to come back — there is much work to do.
Now, simply as a reminder of what you already know:
The Soul won’t stop pushing.
You can resist the journey for weeks, months, or years, but the feeling of incompletion won’t go anywhere.
The knowing that something is “missing” is the compass guiding you back to your Truest Self — not your twin’s body, but your own self-realization and consciousness as a Soul.
I write about this process in my book “My Mirror Soul, My Love, Myself”:
“The purpose goes beyond having a romantic relationship — that would be easier with other characters in our lives, other connections that present less friction.
The nature of our connection is based on friction and shared growth. How our Human Selves handle this friction accelerates or slows down a potential physical union.”
Couldn’t the Soul force the mind to make the adjustments it needs overnight? Indeed, things change overnight sometimes, but the Soul has an agenda that spans thousands of years.
Every incarnation is valuable; it is an investment of life, energy, and knowledge, but if things don’t go as expected, it is the human who regrets in their last breath. The Soul goes on.
It collects the harvest (experience) and goes back to the upper circles to “sleep on it”, and potentially prepare for another incursion.
So, at the end of every play, the character passes away, but the actor is still alive. Ironically, the fears of the character prevent them from embracing their most radiant life when it should be the opposite:
We should thrive for our best possible life today, knowing that human existence is just a blink of an eye. But again, this best possible life is about what the Soul wants — not the mind.
Only When The Soul Begins To Drive, The Tides Decrease

By now, you should have integrated some important key points:
- The journey begins from a divided consciousness and is meant to take us to a unified consciousness.
- At the beginning, there are two of You and two of your twin: the one who fears and the one who knows.
The purpose of the journey is to close the gap, so only the one who knows— the Soul — remains. In this process, the mind must be completely swallowed and give up control of the vehicle to its authentic owner.
Only when the Soul begins to drive, the tides decrease and the path becomes smoother because the Soul foresees what the mind can’t even conceive.
If you begin to follow this guidance without questioning, the Soul — who is the only real You — will take you in the most convenient direction to accelerate your healing and begin to reveal information that was previously hidden — not by the Soul, but beneath layers and layers of fear and self-doubt.
This transitional stage begins in the second layer of the twin flame journey. From this point on, you will be more receptive and intuitive to your twin’s feelings and thoughts — even if they don’t express them in the physical world.
The Soul knows what it knows, and does what it has to do.
