Summary

Jupiter Grant is participating in the "Know Thyself, Heal Thyself" 30 Day Poetry Challenge, exploring themes of growth, change, and Buddhist philosophy through daily poetry, and inviting others to join.

Abstract

Jupiter Grant, a multifaceted creator, has embarked on a journey of self-discovery and artistic expression through the "Know Thyself, Heal Thyself" 30 Day Poetry Challenge. This challenge, which Grant is undertaking throughout June, involves responding to daily prompts that encourage reflection on cyclic states of growth and change. Drawing inspiration from Buddhist concepts such as samsara and dharma, Grant's poetry delves into the continuous transformation of life, guided by the principles of karma. The challenge is not only a personal endeavor but also a communal one, as Grant extends gratitude to those who inspired participation and tags a diverse group of individuals, inviting them to either take on the challenge or consider it for the future.

The Eternal Spiral

Prompt Day 2: A constant, cyclic state of growth and change

Like the mandala of the Buddhist sages, I spiral through the contant changes that carry me on through the vortex of my current life and to the next.

A cyclic state of change and growth, “Samsara” as the Buddha quoth. Yet in the microcosm, too, of the day-to-day, I still renew.

This constant wheel of transformation leads me through each permutation and helps me grow, in accordance with karma, in keeping with the laws of dharma.

Throughout the month of June, I will be taking the Know Thyself, Heal Thyself 30 Day Poetry Challenge, with thanks to Diana C. Thanks also to Tree Langdon for inspiring me to take part.
