Enough!

A poem about walking away from the things that hurt us

If I were not the caring kind

I would not care about my mind.

I’d ply more pressure on myself,

leaving nightmares in my brain, entwined.

But I have hurt Me once before,

and though I fear I’ll be left poor,

I’ve had enough of bleak despair.

I will not force Me to stay anymore.
