Summary

The web content is a personal reflection on insomnia, detailing the physical and mental struggles of sleeplessness and the author's trust in the universe for eventual change.

Abstract

The article titled "Insomniac Interlude" delves into the author's experience with insomnia, characterized by a head full of pain, tangled thoughts, and the relentless glow of a screen. The author describes the physical manifestations of stress, such as a clenched jaw and high blood pressure, and the emotional toll it takes, advising against crying to avoid exacerbating the situation. Despite the body's frequent failures and a mind that feels as fragile as twigs underfoot, the author maintains hope in the universe's promise of change. However, the recurring bouts of insomnia leave the author feeling broken. Insomniac Interlude

Awake again

Awake again, with a head full of pain Tangled thoughts, and clutter in my brain.

Jaw clenched tight, while a screen, brilliant white blinds my tensed eyes, with electronic glowing light.

Sleep will not come to a mind that’s undone knotted behind tensed temples, and pulse beating like a drum.

Blood pressure too high, but please try not to cry, That will only make it worse. Content yourself with a mournful sigh.

My body fails too often, but not ready for the coffin. My mind breaks like twigs underfoot. The usual steely strength softens.

Change will come, because it must. In the universe I have to trust. Though another insomniac interlude leaves me broken in the dust.
