Easily increase your productivity starting tomorrow

How often do you think about tomorrow? Not in the metaphorical sense, as in next month or next year, but tomorrow as the day after today. Tomorrow morning, afternoon, and evening.

Let me share one of the most powerful things you can do to dramatically increase your productivity. Today and every day after!

Do this one thing

There is a simple way to get more out of tomorrow by doing one thing. It is so easy to do you will quickly create a habit and wonder how you ever did without it!

The one thing you can do today and every day to enhance your productivity is:

Before the end of the day, write down one thing you want to get done tomorrow.

It is a well-known and long-established fact that you drastically increase the chance of getting something done by simply writing it down.

Why only write down one thing? So your energies are not divided. This will allow you to focus on that one thing that will add more to your life moving forward. It is up to you to choose something that will make a difference in your future.

How will you benefit from writing this one thing down? You will:

  • Have one goal daily that will enhance your future
  • Bring clarity to the most important thing you want to do tomorrow
  • Significantly improve your chance of getting it done
  • Stay motivated, encouraging progress each day
  • Access a higher level of thinking — reinforced by giving it thought, writing it down, and seeing it on paper
  • Focus more attention on what is most important
  • Clear your mind for the evening
  • Have a constant reminder in your pocket.

“Setting goals is the first step in turning the invisible into the visible.” Tony Robbins (1960-present)

The method

First, buy a pack of inexpensive 3x5 cards. You can get these at almost any store that sells office supplies, such as Walmart, a drugstore, a pharmacy, a grocery store, or any office supply store.

“Goals that are not written down are just wishes.” Fitzhugh Dodson (1923–1993)

Write on the card the one thing you want to complete tomorrow, either in whole or part. Repeat this process each day before going to bed. In no time, it will become automatic. To further strengthen what you can achieve, block out some time on your calendar to get it done.

You will be amazed by how much your productivity increases and the value of your daily 3x5 cards. Review the stack after a month and a year to see how much you have accomplished! Pay attention to any patterns you notice to improve your productivity further.

“According to the best research, less than 3% of Americans have written goals, and less than 1% review and rewrite their goals on a daily basis.” Brian Tracy (1944-present)

Why not join the 1% now?!

Final thoughts

This tip works so well because there is real power in writing things down. By failing to write down what you want, you effectively experience what one of our forefathers stated more than 200 years ago:

“If You Fail to Plan, You Are Planning to Fail” Benjamin Franklin (1706–1790)

Heed the following wisdom, and your success in life is practically guaranteed!

“Write it down. Written goals have a way of transforming wishes into wants; cant’s into cans; dreams into plans; and plans into reality. Don’t just think it — ink it!” Michael Korda (1933-present)

Start on your 3x5 cards today to start building a better future. You will not be disappointed!
