Masterpiece; it looks normal when it has happened, though an explosion of tiny but perfect details upon pondering.

Whether Bolt’s 9.58 or Starry Night by Van Gogh they were the countless polished details put into one piece by the craftsman. This story too is about an Art of this stature.

I was watching, Portugal vs Spain (Fifa World Cup 2018 Group stage)

A definite watch, even if you’re not a football fan.

Entertainment, drama, thrills, buckets of goals, and living legends of football. Name any, the match was blessed with it.

In a flash, a Supernatural moment caught my eye. That Blurred my senses for the moment.

Cristiano Ronaldo- Arguably the best footballer to many, has stats that conform with this statement. Achieved nearly all existing awards of the planet, broke records, and won Player of the Year on multiple occasions, Golden Shoe, and Ballon d’Or. (The boy from Santo António climbed the mountain all by himself)

Yet, before this match started, a stat bothered Ronaldo. He had never scored against Spain, Ever in his 14 years for Portugal.

Proud to Portuguese people and a living legend in La Liga,

Having not scored against Spain would only give his haters, something to shit about, Otherwise, it was not considered a big deal in the football world.

Ronaldo entered the jam-packed Stadion Fisht in Sochi, Russia. He was captaining his team, carrying the weight of the heavy armband.

With only 4 minutes on the clock, he won a penalty and converted it. Erased that black spot forever.

He scored another one on 44'. Zero against Spain in 14 years, forty-four on the clock and he got two.

Though the goal, which created an urge inside me to write about it, The Piece of Art from the Artist, the moment of magic from the magician, The unforgettable masterpiece, wasn’t scored yet.

It possessed a detail, through which I noticed Ronaldo being Ronaldo — the benchmark to any sportsman around the globe.

The match was shifting to each of the teams every quarter of an hour. With every spectator on the edge of their seat. It was Spain in front this time with a goal advantage.

Portugal got the free-kick at the edge of the penalty box in the 86th minute, and Ronaldo stepped up to take the free kick with this immense positive energy flowing around.

Not a Ronaldo fan, but his eyes lit up, not only had he scored 2 goals against Spain in a single match, but now hat-trick on his radar.

Here was this magical moment, the referee hadn’t blown his whistle yet, and tens of thousands watching him.

Whoo-hooo all over the place. Like always, he loves being the hero, this was his moment.

Except, even after the referee’s whistle he waits, Closes his eyes, takes two to three deep breaths, and focuses.

Focuses on the Legend that could be on the front page of tomorrow’s newspapers worldwide. Provided the fact, he perfectly rolls the ball over, the wall of four Spaniards.

Guess what happened? Well don’t, Ronaldo took the free kick. (Seriously, Not a Ronaldo fan)
