An ode to Indian Cricket and MS Dhoni.
The Cricket Carnival
In Response to the Prompt Carnival of ‘Never-Ending Poem’ from Share The Love
The large open space with 22 yards of stage. surrounds with thousands of stands, occupied with the swarm of enthusiasts.
Their love and energy are roaring like lions. No weight of the World on their shoulder, as there are no traces of tension knocking on our doorsteps.
Ocean of eyes sparkle with zeal and emotions, with no difference of color or religion we all speak Blue, we all bleed Blue.
As the war between bat and ball starts, the tirade of feelings and emotions blast. with this vibrant firework of passion and excitement, we dance and sing on the beats — A concert of leathery fate(ball).
We all wear our hearts on our sleeves. Our heartbeat rhyme together, do cartwheels. The rhythms produced by the lathery fireballs having a ride of giant fairy wheels.
In midst of this carnival comes the Captain Cool, The iceman: Dhoni. Coloring the crowd with hope, He casts his spell of calmness and cool.
Shrugging his shoulders, adjusting his helmet, thumping his bat on the ground, with the hawk eyes, He starts his show of impossibilities.
With the final call, the hearts of the crowd on rock-n-role, MS swings his bat like a helicopter sway, And finishing the game in his signature way. The festival of the game reaches its peak. Oh… How I love and enjoy these cricket feasts.

So, I may have bent the Prompt a bit. Since today is 7th July — MS Dhoni’s birthday and I, being his hardcore fan wanted to write something about him and Cricket.
As I was mulling upon that idea, and this prompt popped up in my notifications and things just collided and the result was this.
I hope you enjoy this.
