The Cost of Our Inaction

Weightless in the water, the air and sky above me, I know the sun and the moon are unimpressed by my presence.
When I am beside the ocean there is no mistaking it exists but in the space beneath, everything is out of sight, out of mind.
I hold my breath and contemplate the cost of my inaction.
NaPoWriMo is coming to a close and I’ve really enjoyed writing to these prompts. Only a few days left. Hope we’ll still be together.
