The Colors and Accents of Autumn in Idaho

Cooler temperatures and falling leaves… in some parts of the world anyway

Even though I’ve lived in a tropical climate sans the typical seasons of the north for more than ten years now, last year I was able to experience fall for the first time in all those years. After not seeing fall in person for about a decade or so, seeing it up close and personal was… magical… absolutely magnificent.

I saw my home state in a way I hadn’t before. When going away for a long time and then returning, it’s like being able to see a once familiar place with new eyes.

I fell in love with it like I’d never been before!

Beautiful colors of green, red and yellow. What a way to restore the soul!

Here are some shots of the beautiful Snake River. What blessings we humans have bestowed with. Nothing like nature to make a person appreciate all the good things the world has to offer.

Water restores the soul as well. Along with the picturesque sky, offerings of piercing blue add nice variety to the mix.

And while on the subject of color, we’ve had some lovely colorful posts published here in In Living Color. Barb Dalton 🇺🇦 posted about her love of glorious green as well as her love of yellow: “Hello, Yellow!. Celebrating the colour of happiness and warmth — in bloom”.

Anne Bonfert wrote about her love of green: “When the Land is Happy and Shining in Lush Green” and so did Rhonda Carrier: “In A Green Cathedral. Another 10 Word Story Challenge”.

Suntonu Bhadra also offered her own lovely green post: “A Vast Green Canvas and the Retiring Sun Story”.

I love all colors, but I do have a special affinity for red and so I appreciated this colorful post by Michelle Y. Kwak:
