PERSONAL REFLECTION | WRITING PROMPT
An Extra Special Trip to the Cinema
And the start of my life as a great convincer |GiaB prompt #13 — cinema

Charlotte and her magnificent web in all her glory The Never-Ending Story playing on videotape imagination unlimited in each escape then extra special plans take shape
Cinema —sounds so fancy and sophisticated extreme exhilaration and excitement — still understated for a rural upbringing back in the day going to the cinema was like a holiday
My friends and I, terrestrial for eight or nine years made extra special plans that brought us to cheers it required convincing the parents that it was right to drive for an hour on a school night for the cinema was sure to delight
As the movie began I scanned the crowd the movie ended, again looking around I raised up my hand —just like a glisten on chrome The light gleamed off my pointer for my friends at home I am sure they would be here if they were allowed I am proud to have kept our vow what an extra special place to be the cinema with E.T.
I remember the excitement and anticipation for this trip to the cinema with my friends. It seems I must have been the best convincer in the class…my family and I enjoyed the film but none of my friends' parents were up for the whim.
