The Blade of the Axe

A chapter of a ‘choose your own’ story — drabble edition.

You snarl, then stride forward towards Okoom the Guildmaster, raising your axe.

“I’ve had enough of this garbage,” you say, as the big half-orc backs away.

Then you raise your axe to his neck. “I know your guild hired Zaroph to work with the orcs, and then the orcs burned my village. Care to fill in the rest of the story?”

“We only had the best of intentions,” says Okoom in a scratchy voice, eyes wide in fear.

But then he glances behind you. The guard! Strong hands grip your arms, and the axe is wrestled from your grip…
