Because a drabble is quite short(only 100 words) please remain on the page for at least 30 seconds to count this as a full read. Reading to the end, clapping, and highlighting will help to do this.

Adele arrived at Grandma’s house last night for the summer, and this afternoon they were going to the neighbours for a birthday party. She excitedly twirled around in her pink dress. Then Drew came to whisper to her, “We’re crossing a river to get there.” She turned to him, “That’s not true.” She ran to tell Grandma.

“Oh, it’s just a little brook between the two properties.”

Adele went to her room.

“Let’s go. Where’s Adele?”

“I don’t think she’s coming with us. She’s afraid of rivers.”

“No problem, we’ll take the car and go the longer route.” Grandma declared.
