The Big List of Medium Publications 2023
A long, long, long list of over 200 Medium publications, follower count, and if they’re accepting new writers.
They say if you can’t find what you’re looking for — create it. So here I am, with the list of Medium publications that I have been long looking for.
And if nothing else — I now see why it didn’t exist. You have no idea the endless, tedious hours this took. My eyeballs hurt. Luckily I’ll be compensated probably $0.57/hour in exchange for the eyesight I’ve lost making this. If you could scroll to the bottom so I get a ‘read’ I would really appreciate it
So, I have done my best to come up with a reasonably extensive list of Medium publications, however since my magic powers and unlimited hours in a day haven't come in yet from Amazon…bear with me. I will grow this over time (so maybe, errr….bookmark it).
This list includes the publication link, their follower count, and if they are accepting new writers (if I could find that info).

I would like to take a moment to mention that while publications with ample followers are often the holy grail being sought after— a small, tight-knit publication can offer a more unique, enjoyable experience.
A few notes…
- If you have a publication you think should be on the list — please leave a comment with a link to it!
- Or, if you’re from the future (ooh fancy — and, it’s good to know we haven’t blown ourselves up yet!) and found a listed pub that is no longer active…please leave a comment saying which one has closed.
- If a publication listing doesn’t say that it is taking new writers that doesn’t mean that it isn’t…it just means I couldn’t find that info before I went cross-eyed from lists and links.
- I didn’t include publications that are only articles by the creator (this is what profiles are for?).
- I tried to list them by category, but with overlapping topics, this only had a modicum of success.
I will do my best to update this resource (list of Medium Publications) as time goes on — but I sincerely appreciate all the help I can get in the comments!
