The Benefits of Meditation: Why and How To Integrate It Into Our Lives

I love meditation. It might be the most powerful tool in this disturbing world nowadays. But what could be wrong with it or with us?
Tell you a story about a boy who has generally meditated for 100-plus hours or even more. It works! But there are many things to discuss.
As a person who has visited the Osho vipassana meditation session for ten days. During those days, we had:
- No meat, salt, or tasty food
- No talks
- No phones
- No eye contacts
- Only silence and self-talk
It was pretty scary. I hated myself and everything around me. It was like an inner explosion.
And the most exciting part. We had an all-day meditation. We had 3 hours of meditation, plus yoga and morning/evening osho dancing, three times per day.
After this, I couldn’t meditate for a year. Even for several minutes. It was like a favorite dish. You eat it all the time, and then one day, you don’t want to smell it.
Time went on, and I tried to meditate again. Sometimes it was working; sometimes it wasn’t.
Currently, I’m trying to integrate it into my life. I even subscribed to a newsletter from James Clear about everyday habits.
But still, the following things stop me from progressing on this habit. I can list them below:
- Boredom
- Procrastination
- Constant Thoughts
Before dealing with this thing, I want to admit their natural benefits. Yes, I am planning because I also need this habit, but I still struggle with it, like many of us.
The main benefits I see from meditation:
- Clear mind
- Better mood
- Calm attitude
- Amazing feelings
At least growing the first item can be the real game changer. Remember how often your procrastination and evil thoughts took you away from your desires.
Often, we can’t control our lives. Our mind is often the first enemy for us. How many times you were afraid to make changes in your life?
How many times were you afraid of things that are not so terrible? Maybe you had to do something but couldn’t because of laziness.
That’s all our minds, thoughts, feelings, and emotions. All of them influence our actions.
But the fantastic part is that we can control them!
Breathing and meditation are the first steps for this journey, where we learn about our bodies, emotions, and thoughts. If you don’t understand them, then you can’t control it.
That’s why learning these techniques can make your thoughts clean and actions such as you want.
So, how can we deal with the following things? Things like boredom, procrastination, and evil thoughts.
All of them can resolved with meditation.
I want to give you an extended plan on several pages. But I will ask you to do one thing for a month. Let’s call it a challenge.
So, I claim that for the next 30 days, I will do the following things:
- 1 minute of meditation in the morning
- 1 minute of meditation in the evening
It sounds like nothing. But it’s the whole hour of meditation per month. And over the entire year, it’s 12 hours!
If we can do it, then, each month, we can increase this value by one. So the next month, we’ll do 2 hours of meditation, the next one 3 hours, and so on.
On the last month of our practice year, we’ll do 12 hours of meditation per month!
Sounds like a plan. So, try this approach if you have always wanted to integrate meditation into your life. I will do the same.
I can’t say that it works, but at least I know that doing only 1 minute of meditation in the morning and in the evening is the easiest thing you can imagine.
So, let’s do it! If you support this movement, please give some claps, write a comment, and share with your closest friend. Give you all my best vibes, my friends, and see you in the following article!
